What is ageing?
Ageing can be defined as chronological ageing or photo ageing. Lines formed from chronological ageing are either static or dynamic lines. Static being present at rest due to loss of volume and thinning of the dermis due to loss of collagen and elastin, and Dynamic lines being present during movement.

Botox

What is Botulinum Toxin?
Botulinum toxin or commonly known as ‘Botox’, is a protein that targets a chemical substance called acetylcholine which transmits contraction information to the muscle. Botulinum Toxin temporarily blocks the release of acetylcholine and therefore temporarily weakens the muscles responsible for developing facial expression lines caused by muscle activity. Botulinum Toxin can also be used in the event of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
